Postpartum Couples Retreat in Georgia
Support for your relationship. Clarity for your parenthood.
As You Welcome Baby, Stay Connected to Each Other
You’re counting down the weeks (or maybe the days), and the anticipation is growing. You and your partner are about to enter one of the most meaningful and transformative seasons of your life: becoming parents. You cherish your relationship and feel grateful to be doing this with each other.
And yet, beneath the excitement, there’s a quiet worry.
You’ve heard how this season can stretch couples thin, and how easy it is to lose the connection you’ve worked so hard to build. Already, there are decisions to make, details to manage, and moments when the future feels overwhelming. You don’t want to drift into survival mode. You want to stay close and face what’s ahead with intention, as partners and teammates, not just as caregivers moving through a list.
Even the strongest relationships can feel strained in early parenthood.
Both of you are working hard to care for your baby, keep up with the house, and manage careers or other responsibilities. It’s no wonder that research shows two out of three couples experience a decline in relationship satisfaction during the early years of parenting.
You don’t want to just get through it. You want to stay connected, feel supported, and build a strong foundation - for your baby, and for each other.
2 out of 3 couples report a drastic decrease in their relationship satisfaction in the first year after a child is born.
But it doesn’t have to be this way!
A Private Couples Retreat in Georgia to Support Your Relationship During Early Parenthood
You deserve space to reconnect and prepare for what’s ahead - together. The Postpartum Couples Retreat offers a private, therapist-designed experience to help you stay close through the transition into parenthood.
This isn’t therapy, and it’s not a generic parenting class. It’s something more intentional: a dedicated space where you and your partner can slow down, check in, and build a shared plan rooted in communication, clarity, and care.
Your retreat is tailored to your relationship—designed around your strengths, values, and the specific challenges you want to prepare for together.
You’ll leave with practical tools and a renewed sense of connection to carry you through the months ahead.
What’s Included in Your Postpartum Couples Retreat
The Postpartum Couples Retreat is a private experience designed with intention, structure, and flexibility—so you and your partner receive exactly what you need from the time together.
Every retreat includes a Pre-Retreat Planning Session, a brief meeting to get to know you as a couple, understand your goals, and ensure this experience is the right fit for your season of life. From there, you’ll receive a customized retreat agenda shaped by your values and priorities. Common topics include communication, emotional support, parenting roles, the division of labor, maintaining intimacy, and strategies for navigating mental health during early parenthood.
You’ll leave the day with a personalized Postpartum Wellness Plan that reflects your shared intentions and offers practical tools for staying connected in the months ahead. The retreat takes place in our welcoming Decatur office and includes a calm, restorative environment with coffee, tea, light refreshments, and unhurried time to pause and reflect together.
To help you carry what you’ve created forward, one follow-up session after baby arrives is also included to revisit your plan, reflect on how things are going, and adjust as needed.
Retreats are held in person at our Decatur, Georgia office and offered in three formats:
Mini (4 hours) – $1,200
A focused half-day experience for couples seeking support around core topics like communication, shared values, and postpartum planning.
Standard (6 hours) – $1,800
Offers more time for deeper conversation, structured exercises, and collaborative planning around your relationship and transition into parenthood.
Extended (8 hours over 2 days) – $2,400
Our most comprehensive option, with ample space to explore a wider range of topics and practice tools at a thoughtful pace. This is ideal for couples who want the most in-depth and supported experience.

Jaime is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C) and the owner/clinical director at Aspen Grove Counseling and Wellness.
As a clinician specializing in perinatal mental health, her passion lies in assisting women and their partners through all stages of parenthood, including pre-conception, pregnancy, postpartum, and navigating birth-related trauma or loss.
In 2017, Jaime expanded her professional expertise, becoming a certified Gottman "Bringing Baby Home" Educator. This decision was fueled by her realization of the numerous challenges couples face during their transition to parenthood, evident in her therapy sessions. Since 2018 Jaime has facilitated the two day "Bringing Baby Home" workshop helping couples transform their parenting experiences by learning effective communication techniques, fostering stronger connections, and aligning their parenting values. Jaime is especially dedicated to helping couples recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health issues that may surface during the perinatal period, and devising a supportive plan for both partners during these critical times.
The Postpartum Partnership Couples Retreat grew out of Jaime’s years of experience facilitating the Bringing Baby Home workshop. After witnessing how impactful that work was, and how often couples desired more privacy, flexibility, and individualized support, she created the retreat as a more personalized way to help partners feel grounded, connected, and prepared for the transition into parenthood.
With a background as an improv comedy performer, Jaime incorporates humor and lightheartedness into her workshops and retreats, creating an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere. Helping new parents prepare for the journey of new parenthood is among Jaime's most rewarding professional experiences.
