You’ve been holding so much for so long.

You’re not alone in that feeling. And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

Therapy for New and Neurodivergent Moms in Atlanta ~ Finding calm and confidence in the chaos of motherhood.
You wake up already tired, wondering how you’ll make it through another day. It feels like everyone else knows what they’re doing, and you’re the only one barely holding it together. You love your kids deeply, but lately even simple things feel hard. Getting your child ready for the day feels like a battle, especially when she doesn’t want to go. You rush to get everyone where they need to be, already thinking about the endless list of tasks waiting for you.
From the moment you wake up, your brain is juggling everyone else’s needs and never seems to pause. You keep telling yourself to hold it together, but lately it’s harder to focus or rest. By the time you finally have a moment of quiet, your brain shuts down. The noise, the clutter, the constant needs around you, all of it feels like too much.
By evening, you’re running on fumes. Dinner becomes survival mode, and even small moments like feeding the baby or cleaning up leave you feeling frayed. You ache for connection but turn down invitations because you have nothing left to give. Later, when the house is quiet, you reach for a show or a snack just to exhale, but guilt creeps back in. You love your kids, yet this version of motherhood feels nothing like what you imagined, and you keep wondering what’s wrong with you.
I’m Melissa, a therapist in Atlanta who supports new moms and neurodivergent moms who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or misunderstood.
Motherhood changes everything: your body, your relationships, your identity. It’s easy to lose sight of yourself in the process. Whether you’re adjusting to postpartum life, balancing work and family, or coping with the invisible pressure to do it all, therapy can be a space to slow down, breathe, and make sense of what’s happening inside you.
In our work together, we’ll explore how your brain works and how your unique experiences shape the way you move through the world. You’ll learn to notice what you need, calm anxious thoughts, and set gentle boundaries that protect your energy. We’ll look at the stories you’ve been carrying about being a “good mom” and create space for new ones rooted in compassion, not guilt.
My approach is collaborative, supportive, and down to earth.
I know therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re already stretched thin. I move at your pace, offering space for both the hard moments and the small wins. When you feel truly understood, you can begin to let go of shame and reconnect with yourself, your loved ones, and your life.
If you’re ready to stop holding your breath and start feeling more like yourself again, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. If you’d like to explore how therapy could support you in this season, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation. It’s a chance to ask questions and see if we’d be a good fit.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. I also hold certification as a Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. My background includes clinical experience in university, outpatient, and recovery settings, providing therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, relationship challenges, and the transitions of early parenthood. I draw from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and relational approaches, integrating trauma-informed, attachment-based, and somatic principles to support each client’s unique needs. My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for the stories clients bring into the room.

Therapy for Individuals and Couples in Atlanta ~ Finding your way back to yourself and the people you love
You’re holding it together for everyone, your partner, your baby, your family, your job, but inside, you feel like you’re coming undone. You’re not even sure who you are anymore. You used to feel like a whole person. Now you feel more like a role to play, the strong one, the caregiver, the one who keeps it all moving.
You’re exhausted by the weight of everything, the silent tension in your relationship, the pressure to keep showing up, and the emotional toll of holding space for someone in recovery or someone who just can’t meet you emotionally. You miss feeling connected to your partner, to yourself, and to the life you imagined.
You’ve found yourself snapping more often, crying alone in the bathroom, or wondering quietly, “Is this it? Is this all there is?” You want to believe things can feel different and that you can come home to yourself again, but you’re scared to say it out loud. You just know you can’t keep doing it like this.
You don’t have to keep pushing through alone. Therapy can be a place to exhale, reconnect, and begin to feel like yourself again.
I help women who feel lost in the chaos of caregiving, new motherhood, or major life transitions reconnect with themselves and their truth. Many of my clients come to therapy during times of identity confusion, emotional disconnection, or relationship strain, especially when they’ve spent years prioritizing everyone else’s needs over their own, including caring for a loved one navigating addiction or recovery.
Together, we slow things down. I create a space that’s calm, grounded, and emotionally real, where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out. I’m not here to fix you or give quick advice. I’m here to help you listen inward and make space for the parts of you that have been silenced or buried under responsibility, resentment, or grief.
Clients often tell me therapy feels like a pause, a place where they can finally exhale. Over time, they begin to recognize themselves again. They start to set boundaries, speak their truth, and feel more rooted in who they are. The goal goes beyond survival. It’s to feel alive, grounded, and aligned inside your life.
If you’re ready to stop holding it all in and start coming back to yourself, in your relationship, in your motherhood, and in your life, I’d be honored to walk with you. You can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if therapy with me feels like the right fit for you. You don’t have to do this alone.
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (APC) with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Graduate Certificate in Trauma from Richmont Graduate University. I have specialized training in Gottman Level 1, Prepare and Enrich, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and somatic therapy, as well as ongoing study in polyvagal theory and attachment-based work. I draw from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and interpersonal approaches, with clinical experience in outpatient, recovery, and family systems settings. My work is trauma-informed, relational, and rooted in deep respect for each client’s lived story.
I am supervised by S. LaShay Dowley, PhD (c), LPC, with clinical direction from Jaime Filler, LMFT. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions in Atlanta.

Therapy for Individuals and Couples in Atlanta ~ Helping people find calm and connection through life’s changes.
When life feels overwhelming, you keep showing up, doing what needs to be done, but inside you feel stretched thin. You’ve been strong for so long that even the smallest things start to feel heavy. Maybe you’re moving through a major life change, grieving a deep loss, or feeling disconnected from the person you used to be. You try to hold it all together for everyone else, but you’re tired, anxious, and unsure how to keep going.
Some days you move through the motions, doing what’s expected while your mind races ahead to everything waiting for you tomorrow. Even the quiet moments feel tense, and you catch yourself longing for a moment of calm that actually lasts.
You don’t have to figure it out alone. Therapy can be a place to set things down for a while and breathe again.
As someone who has walked through my own seasons of change, I understand how disorienting transition can feel. I’m a therapist in Atlanta who helps women and couples move through emotional pain and uncertainty with compassion and clarity. I work with people navigating new motherhood, relationship changes, grief, or transitions that leave them feeling lost or unsure of who they are now. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, hoping things could feel different but unsure where to start.
Together, we slow the pace and create space to hear what your mind and body have been trying to tell you. Therapy becomes a place where you can begin to make sense of what’s happening inside you and feel a little steadier. Little by little, the space we create helps you breathe again, notice what your body has been holding, and start to trust your own pace.
Clients often describe me as calm, grounded, and real. I meet you where you are, with no pressure to have it all figured out, and help you build greater awareness, confidence, and self-compassion. I have a special focus on supporting parents raising children with emotional or behavioral challenges. Parenthood can bring both joy and overwhelm, and therapy can be a place to tend to your own needs again.
I also work with couples who are facing conflict, disconnection, or major transitions. I especially enjoy supporting couples where one partner has ADHD and it’s affecting how they communicate, connect, and understand one another. Whether you want to rebuild trust, improve communication, or simply feel close again, therapy can be a space where both partners feel heard, supported, and understood.
I believe in slowing down and honoring your pace. Therapy is not about fixing who you are, but about helping you reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to build.
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and I’m licensed in Georgia as an Associate Professional Counselor (APC010193). I’m trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy, a research-based approach that helps partners strengthen connection and repair conflict in meaningful ways.
I receive clinical supervision from S. LaShay Dowley, PhD (c), LPC, and Amy Robbins, LPC, CPCS, and clinical direction and secondary supervision from Jaime Filler, LMFT.
You don’t have to figure it out alone. Therapy can be a place to set things down for a while and breathe again. You’re welcome to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if working together feels like the right fit for you.

Jaime Filler, LMFT, PMH-C, Clinical Director
The decision to begin therapy can be a difficult one. It is my goal to build a strong relationship with each person who comes to my office, to help them feel comfortable so they can fully benefit from the therapeutic process. In therapy, I often use humor to put my clients at ease and lighten the mood when it is appropriate. My collaborative and supportive approach allows my clients to draw on their own strengths to overcome current obstacles and begin to make positive changes in their lives.
I utilize an integrative approach to therapy. This means what works for one person does not always work for another and I tailor my approach to fit each unique client. In my practice, I use evidenced-based therapeutic methods, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, in addition to family systems theory. I am also trained in the Gottman Method for couple’s therapy and EMDR for trauma.
I have experience working with a variety of issues that impact adults, couples, and families. My areas of focus include maternal mental health, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship problems. I am particularly passionate about working with women and their partners who are struggling with the challenges that come with becoming a new parent. I am a certified Gottman Bringing Baby Home Program Educator, and provide workshops to help couples in the transition to parenthood.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT001198) , Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C), and AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor. I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from San Jose State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I’m a member of Postpartum Support International and a clinical member of the Georgia Association of Marriage & Family Therapists and the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapists.
I offer both in-person and virtual sessions.
On a personal note, I enjoy traveling and exploring new cultures, cooking, practicing yoga and getting out into nature with my family.
Jaime’s specialties include pregnancy and postpartum therapy, anxiety therapy, therapy for depression, grief and loss counseling, couples therapy, and workshops for new parents.
