Bringing Baby Home
Strengthening your relationship as you prepare for life with your new baby
Preparing for Parenthood with Support and Intention
Entering parenthood is a meaningful and tender transition. Even in the joy and anticipation, many couples feel the weight of new responsibilities, shifting routines, and the uncertainty of what life will look like once baby arrives. It is common for connection to feel harder during this season, especially when sleep, time, and energy change so quickly. Research shows that many couples experience a dip in relationship satisfaction in the early stages of parenthood, not because they are doing anything wrong, but because the transition is significant.
There are ways to feel more supported and connected as you enter this new chapter, and that is where Bringing Baby Home can help.
What the Bringing Baby Home Workshop Offers
Bringing Baby Home is a two-day, research-supported group workshop for expecting and new parents who want to feel grounded and connected as they prepare for early parenthood. It offers time to learn, reflect, and understand each other more deeply while sharing space with other couples navigating a similar season. Through guided education, hands-on activities, and intentional moments of connection, you will explore communication, co-parenting, and emotional wellness in a supportive setting.
Throughout the workshop, you and your partner will practice practical tools you can use well beyond the newborn period. Small group discussions and breakout exercises help you apply skills in real time, while allowing you to reconnect with your partner in ways that feel meaningful and supportive. The experience is led by a Bringing Baby Home Educator who is also a specialized perinatal mental health therapist, offering steady guidance as you prepare for this next chapter.

More about the Bringing Baby Home Program:
Decades of research from the Gottman Institute show that a couple’s friendship and emotional connection play a central role in how the relationship adapts after baby arrives. Bringing Baby Home translates this research into practical, approachable tools that support both partners during the transition into early parenthood. The program is designed to help you stay connected, communicate with care, and build a shared foundation for co-parenting.
During the workshop, you will learn strategies that strengthen your bond while also supporting your baby’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. The material is grounded in evidence but offered in a way that feels accessible and meaningful, giving you skills you can carry with you long after the workshop ends.
