Building the Village: Prenatal and Pediatric Chiropractic Care in Decatur with Dr. David Cao
At Aspen Grove Counseling & Wellness, we know that early parenthood can feel both beautiful and overwhelming, especially when you’re navigating it without a trusted support network. That’s why we’re excited to share a new blog series highlighting local professionals and small businesses offering compassionate, grounded care for new and expecting parents in the Atlanta and Decatur area.
Each post is a chance to learn more about the people behind the services — what they do, why they do it, and how they’re helping build a more connected and supportive village for families in transition.
This week, we’re excited to introduce you to Dr. David Cao, a family-centered chiropractor serving parents and little ones at Corrective Chiropractic in Decatur. Known for his calm presence and thoughtful, hands-on care, Dr. David supports clients through the physical changes of pregnancy, the recovery of postpartum, and the foundational stages of infant development — helping families feel more aligned, at ease, and supported from the very beginning.
Getting to Know Corrective Chiropractic, Decatur
Welcome, David, and thank you for sharing your story with us! Can you start by telling us a little about yourself and the work you do?
“I’m Dr. David Cao, a chiropractor who loves spending time with my family, playing golf during my free time. My passion is working with children and expectant mothers, helping moms feel their best before welcoming their child into the world, and supporting little ones in maintaining a healthy, well-functioning nervous system from the very start.”
Do you offer in-person, virtual, or hybrid services?
“ In-Person”
What inspired you to start working with new and soon-to-be parents?
“My wife and I struggled to conceive, so when we finally became parents, the experience was life changing. I saw how chiropractic care helped her feel supported during pregnancy, and it inspired me to help other new and expecting parents feel their best while giving children the healthiest start possible.”
What are some of the common challenges your clients face in early parenthood, and how do you support them through that?
“Many parents I work with struggle with exhaustion, postpartum discomfort, and stress. During pregnancy, some face challenges with baby positioning, which can affect both comfort and delivery. I use gentle chiropractic care, including Webster technique, to improve pelvic alignment for better positioning, support postpartum recovery, and help babies with issues like colic, feeding difficulties, or poor sleep by improving their nervous system function.”
What makes your approach unique or different from others in your field?
“I’ve had additional training in the Webster Technique, and I use a decompression table to help parents feel more comfortable in their lower back or neck, because I know firsthand how challenging it can be to care for a little one when your body is sore.”

Are there particular moments in your work that feel especially meaningful or rewarding?
“The most rewarding moments are seeing a parent’s facial expression when their baby seems more at ease, or hearing them describe how their little one sleeps or feeds more comfortably the next day.”
Can you share one thing you wish all new parents knew or believed about themselves?
“I wish every new parent knew just how strong and capable they are. They are not alone in the process.”
What’s something you wish more people understood or asked about your work?
“I wish more people understood how much chiropractic care for parents and babies goes beyond just relieving pain. It’s about supporting the nervous system, helping babies move and function comfortably, easing pregnancy discomfort, and empowering parents to feel confident and capable.”
How can someone know if your service might be a good fit for them?
“The best way to know if our care is a good fit is simply to have a chat with us. We can answer your questions, learn about your needs, and explain how gentle chiropractic care can help your family feel their best through comprehensive family care.“
We’re so grateful to Dr. David for sharing a window into his work — and for being part of the growing circle of care that helps new parents feel more supported, seen, and steady. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, or seeking care for your little one, Corrective Chiropractic in Decatur offers thoughtful, family-centered support for every stage of the journey.
